Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

I had an excellent experience at Auto Repair and Tire by Us located at 10 & Ryan in Warren, MI, and they absolutely deserve a 5-star review. They took care of my brake repair, tire alignment, and oil change, and the entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. What really stood out was their honesty and transparency—they clearly explained what needed to be done, didn’t push any unnecessary services, and delivered exactly what they promised. The pricing was incredibly convenient and fair, especially for the quality of work they provided. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers, not just getting another job out the door. The work was done efficiently, and my car now drives perfectly—quiet brakes, smooth alignment, and overall a noticeable improvement. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and reasonably priced auto repair shop in Warren, this is the place. I highly recommend Auto Repair and Tire by Us and will definitely be returning for future services. 👏🚗🔧

I brought Bill my 2014 Cadillac CTS 2.0T in for a coolant temperature sensor replacement. Him and his son were very pleasant to deal with and has entirely transparent business practices which I appreciate. They got to work on my vehicle almost immediately. He kept me in the loop through the whole repair process alerting me of any and all concerns. I had my car back the next day completely fixed. Pricing is very fair and he saved me several hundred dollars from what a Cadillac dealer would have charged. I can’t recommend Auto Repair and Tires by Us enough. Wishing him much success. Trustworthy and transparent!

Quick, Friendly, and Affordable Oil Change! Came in for a routine oil change and was blown away by the customer service. They got me in and out quickly, checked my fluids and tires for free, and treated me like a valued customer—not just another number. I’ll be back for all my maintenance needs!
